Mustafa Kamal

Team Lead

Mustafa Kamal is a highly accomplished Renewable Energy and Infrastructure Project Manager with over 12 years of experience delivering large-scale Solar PV, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), Hydropower, and off-grid electrification projects across Australia and Pakistan. As the Director Commercial & Procurement at AREG, he combines engineering expertise, strategic project leadership, and industry insight to accelerate clean-energy transformation for communities, businesses, and government clients.

A certified Project Management Professional (PMP®) and a Registered Engineer, Mustafa has led complex multi-stakeholder renewable energy programs for government, donor-funded, and utility-scale environments. His portfolio includes major projects under the World Bank, Asian Development Bank (ADB), and public-sector clean-energy initiatives, including the solarisation of thousands of households, public institutions, worship places, and remote off-grid areas.

Before founding AREG, Mustafa served in senior leadership positions at the Pakhtunkhwa Energy Development Organisation (PEDO), Pakistan, where he managed full-cycle project delivery—engineering oversight, procurement, contract management, grid integration, HSE compliance, and stakeholder coordination across multiple districts. His career also includes engineering roles at NRTC, where he contributed to the construction, testing, and commissioning of utility-scale solar farms and national-grid interconnections.

Widely recognised for his analytical skills, communication abilities, and strong client engagement, Mustafa consistently delivers projects on time, within budget, and to international quality standards, including IEC, ISO, and IEEE. His expertise in procurement systems, ERP platforms, contract negotiation, and risk management strengthens AREG’s commitment to providing reliable, efficient, and future-focused renewable energy solutions.

Now based in Victoria, Australia, Mustafa leads AREG’s technical direction, procurement strategy, and project development portfolio—bridging global innovation with Australia’s clean-energy goals.
